This statue is the centerpiece of the only roundabout in the small mountaintop village of Tanglad, on the island of Nusa Penida in Indonesia. Despite the island’s close proximity to Bali, it remains relatively untouched by tourists. Even fewer make the long drive up the dodgy roads to Tanglad, which is known throughout the country for the fabric it produces by hand — still to this day! #Indonesia
