Structural engineers in Kathmandu have now confirmed it was the massive webs of power lines twisted around every building and down every alley which helped to save much of the city. Or not. I don’t really know. But what I do know is I’m very happy I was not one of the electricians in Kathmandu responsible for getting the power back on after the quake.
